Sport sedan Kia Stinger, which recently debuted at the international auto show in Detroit, received its first award: the design of the car was recognized as the best among serial cars showed at the NAIAS.
At the Detroit auto show, where American manufacturers traditionally dominate, all attention has been focused on rapid and aggressive Kia Stinger. The car was so liked by professionals of the automotive industry that as a result it was awarded with the EyesOn Design Awards for design excellence.
Stinger was the best car among serial automobiles whose world debut took place during the current auto show in Detroit. Owners of other awards were determined among concepts, conceptual cars and production trucks, etc.
The authors of the Stinger design are the chief designer of Kia Motors Peter Schreyer and Gregory Guillaume, who is responsible for the “appearance” of cars in Kia Motors Europe.
Brand new Kia Stinger is a sedan-fastback, which is best characterized by the words “power”, “passion” and “speed”. This car was created in order to get the maximum pleasure from the controlling and at the same time from the inner comfort that is also at a high level.
Driving characteristics of Kia Stinger were evolved in the course of numerous tests on the legendary road “Nürburgring”.
Sales of the new model in the North American market will start in 2017. Information about the approximate timing of debut in other markets as well as the prices is not available at the moment.
