Kia Cerato Overview

The Kia Cerato is a compact car produced by Kia Motors of South Korea. Kia Motors is a public automobile company based in Seoul, South Korea. It was founded in 1944, originally producing bicycle parts and steel tubing. Kia began manufacturing motorcycles in 1957, trucks in 1962, and cars in 1974. Kia stopped building cars in 1981 but re-started again in 1986.

The Cerato is available worldwide, but is known as the Spectra in the United States. In 2013 the company renamed the Cerato to the Forte, but in Korea it is known now as the K3. There are a few different models, including a sedan and a hatchback. The Cerato shares its platform with the Hyundai Elantra. It’s newer, third generation will be built at a new plant.
