The Aston Martin One-77 is classified as a 2-door coupe and is built by the British carmaker Aston Martin. The One-77 was first introduced to the public in 2008 at the Paris Motor Show but was covered by a Savile Row tailored skirt for the entirety of it. It wasn’t until 2009 at the Geneva Motor Show that was it was fully unveiled and started going on sale in 2011. There were only 77 of these cars produced, which is where the vehicle gets its name. It is considered one of the rarest modern vehicles to date.
Before the initial debut of the One-77, there were a number of details about the car leaked to the public, though none of its official specifications were made available until 2009 at the Geneva Motor Show. This vehicle uses a full carbon fiber monocoque chassis as well as a hand-crafted aluminum body and a naturally aspired 7.3 liter V12 engine which is capable of 750 horsepower. Aston Martin has claimed that the engine this vehicle uses would be the most powerful naturally aspirated one in the world by the time it went on sale.
The One-77 uses a more powerful version of the DB9’s 6-speed automated manual transmission as well as height-adjustable pushrod suspension in combination with dynamic stability control. This vehicle will feature Pirelli P Zero Corsa tired as well as Carbon Ceramic Matrix brakes. The top speed of the One-77 was estimated at 200 mph, though tests that were done in December of 2009 showed that it was actually capable of 220.007 mph and a 0-60 mph time of around 3.5 seconds. Multimatic of Canada was in charge of the engineering and build source of the carbon chassis as well as the suspension system for this vehicle.
